Dr. Raymond Richardson Golf Endowment
Dr. Raymond Richardson Golf Endowment Established in 2000.
Long-time Riverside surgeon Dr. Raymond G. Richardson and his family established UCR's first fully endowed athletic scholarship. Although Dr. Richardson passed away
that summer, his wife, Rosemarie A. Richardson, and their children, Carol Kimmelman, Laurence W. Richardson, Julie Omsberg and Gayle Richardson, fulfilled his plan with a generous gift to the university.
Dr. Richardson was an avid golfer who enjoyed the competition and the camaraderie that the game provided. His love for the game had taken him to courses all over the world. The Dr. Raymond Richardson Golf Scholarship permits the UCR Athletic Department to award a full scholarship to a student with extraordinary potential in both academics and in golf.
Donations are still being accepted to this fund. Contact Julie Hall in the Athletics Development Office at (951) 827-6289 for information on contributing.
